Pacific International Underwriters, Inc. is a General Agency & Surplus Lines Broker located in Mill Creek, Washington.
Our rich history spans the Pacific Northwest dating back as far back as the 1940’s. Originally located in Downtown Seattle, former owner Ron Walker purchased PIU in the 1960’s and then moved the offices 15 miles north to Edmonds where we were located for over 50 years. Again in 1999, Randy Blanchard purchased PIU and then sold it to our current owner, Jillian Fassburg, in 2017. Throughout the years, we have maintained long standing relationships with many of the same carriers – some for over 40 years!
PIU has three departments operating in one capacity or another in six western states:
• Transportation & Garage: AK, AZ, CA, ID, WA and OR
• Commercial P&C: AK, ID, OR and WA
• Personal Lines: AK, AZ, CA, ID, WA and OR
